The SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is a course designed to provide managers with a deep and thorough understanding of best practice health and safety in the construction industry. It is a qualification from the accrediting board, the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board), and it is targeted at those individuals who are currently, or are planning, to work as a construction site manager. The course content includes health and safety law, duties and responsibilities as a manager, how to develop safe systems of work and risk assessment. The SMSTS course is evaluated via individual and group-based exercises, plus an examination. How Many Questions Are There On The SMSTS test?
In terms of the examination for the SMSTS, which constitutes the second part of the assessment, this involves 25 multiple-choice questions. These questions will cover all aspects of the course, and you will have 30 minutes to finish this paper. We advise that you don’t leave the exam early, and try to spend as much time as possible doing the exam.
What Questions Are in a SMSTS test?

Examples of questions include - which one of the following substances is not hazardous; what action does a site manager need to take if an operative, who is deaf, is brought on site to work with a contractor; under RIDDOR, which person is responsible for reporting to the HSE a specified injury that an employee has sustained.
What is the Pass Mark for SMSTS?
The SMSTS has a pass mark for the examination, and this is 72 per cent. Therefore, if you achieve this score or higher, then you will have fulfilled the required conditions and passed the SMSTS examination.
