What you’ll learn on our SSSTS Refresher Course

This course will revisit an extensive range of important health and safety areas that include:

• How to best intervene when practices not compliant with health and safety laws are being observed
• How to conduct capable risk assessments
• Understanding how health and safety law is structured
• Fire prevention
• Understanding proactive and reactive monitoring and its importance
• How to effectively address occupational health problems within the construction industry
• Basic understanding of hazardous materials, working at height, first aid, personal protective equipment (PPE) etc.

Assessments

As in our CITB SSSTS course (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme). Delegates will be involved in group discussions as well as interactive exercises that you will be required to actively participate in. This refresher course requires mandatory attendance.

Accreditation & Certificates

The accrediting body is the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). Upon completion of the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher Course you will be awarded a SSSTS Refersher certificate of that is valid for five years. After 5 years have passed, you will have to retrain.
