Originally developed to highlight the benefits of adopting behavioural change for all contractors working on the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Jobcentre Plus' (JCP) refurbishment programme, the primary aim of the course was to help contractors undertake their designated tasks safely. It was mandatory for anyone working on either DWP or JCP sites.
With the belief that nobody should be injured or suffer ill-health in the course of work activities at its core, the course is now more widely available and will provide you with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour and engagement at every level can help prevent accidents occurring.
This course is in line with the existing Approved Codes of Practice (ACoP) and Guidance for the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007, which links to other legislation in requiring cooperation and co-ordination is carried out.
