The CITB Director's Role for Health and Safety course offers detailed knowledge and insight into the various health and safety issues that can occur in the workplace. This course has been designed specifically for both directors and senior managers to attain the health and safety skills needed to maintain a safe work environment by focusing on the importance of adhering to health and safety laws. This is something that is essential to any business - as there are hefty fines for companies that are not compliant, as well as damage to a businesses reputation should a breach of law be found.
Our comprehensive course delivers a clear and practical summary of the director’s role in overseeing and understanding the importance of risk assessments, as well as an informed approach on how to create a capable health and safety culture within your workplace, no matter what sort of workplace that is.
Assessments take place throughout the course to ensure that delegates are fully prepared for the final exam - we aim to ensure that all participants fully understand each part of the course before moving on to the next. The course consists of group workshops, and discussions, where delegates will be expected to take an active participation in. It will also include case studies, syndicate exercises, and classroom tutorials. Full attendance is mandatory for this course.
The accrediting body is the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). After you have successfully completed the course you will receive a certificate of attendance that is valid for 5 years, after which you will be required to retrain.
