Who is it for?

This course is for those who have previously passed the full five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course and can provide proof of attendance.

What you'll learn

  • What you need to know about recent changes to Health and Safety law, and updates on new regulations in the construction industry
  • What the latest HSE guidance and initiatives and changes to Approved Codes of Practice (ACoP) mean for you and your site
  • The most up-to-date information on accident statistics, costs of accidents, causes, and management responsibilities and methods of prevention.
  • Methods for motivating the workforce towards safety behaviours and how to manage effective tool box talks and site inductions

You will be continually assessed throughout the course, and be expected to participate in a number of group exercises. There will also be a formal multiple choice assessment at the end of the course. Full attendance is mandatory.
